Our client is a major manufacturing company. He is looking for a professional to take charge of all his payroll operations. This person will provide support to the human resources and finance teams.

Benefits offered :

  • Salary between $70 000  and $80 000

Main responsibilities :

  • Perform full payroll cycle processing for employees of different business lines;
  • Ensure the proper management of time and absences
  • Open employee files and update them (mobile bank, illness, vacation, etc.)
  • Process payroll journal entries and produce various reports on payroll data
  • Prepare and verify year-end reports and the production of T4s, Relevé 1s and other documents;
  • Respond to various government stakeholders (alimony, wage garnishment, QPIP, etc.);
  • Apply and respect the various regulations on payroll, benefits, collective agreements, as well as laws governing working conditions and stay abreast of changes
  • Answer questions from employees and managers regarding payroll;
  • Work closely with the employee experience team and understand the interactions between the systems;
  • Ensure the optimization and improvement of payroll processes.

Required profile :

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar position
  • Know how to juggle company policies and labor standards;
  • Ability to manage priorities;
  • Autonomy, rigor, attention to detail, discretion and confidentiality;
  • Very good ability to work in a team, a good sense of customer and communication skills;
  • Payroll Compliance Specialist (ACP) designation (asset).
